Together with Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso was one of the founders of Cubism. Picasso’s work can be divided into several distinct periods: the artist’s Blue period (1901–1904), his Rose period (1904–1907), cubism (1907–1914), the artist’s Ingres-inspired period (1917–1925) and his surrealist period (1925–1939). The artist Pablo Picasso created a multi-faceted body of work using a diverse range of media. In addition to drawings and paintings, the artist also worked in engraving and created set designs, costumes, ceramics and sculptures, etc.
