On the occasion of the launch of Gérard Schneider’s online Catalogue raisonné (1896-1986), the exhibition Lyrisme(s) presents a retrospective journey of this Lyrical abstraction major artist’s body of work.

THE EXHIBITION 

Lyrisme(s) is an exhibition « setting » to welcome Gérard Schneider’s Catalogue raisonné online publication.

In order to understand the whole Gérard Schneider’s body of work, Diane de Polignac Gallery presents a retrospective journey through a selection of 7 paintings, such as 7 distinct periods of investigation and creation.

From surrealism to the artist’s total mastery of free and creative gestural expression, each painting is a milestone revealing a key moment in Schneider’s creation.

To be contextualised, each painting will be exhibited surrounded by archive materials.
