How did the artist Maria Helena Vieira Da Silva die?

The painter Maria Helena Vieira Da Silva died at the age of 84 on 6 March 1992. The woman artist was buried at the cemetery of Yèvre-le-Châtel in France’s Centre-Val de Loire region. Maria Helena Vieira Da Silva was buried with her mother and her husband Arpad Szenes, whose death in 1985 at the age of 87 had a profound effect on her. The Arpad Szenes – Vieira da Silva Foundation was created in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1990 and a research and documentation centre for the study and dissemination of the works of both artists was also founded. The city of Lisbon is also home to a museum bringing together the works of Maria Helena Vieira Da Silva and Arpad Szenes.
