Sanyu, A Philosophy of Ink is the third installment in a series of exhibitions dedicated to the artist Sanyu (1895-1966) at the Diane de Polignac Gallery.
Co-published by Editions Still and Diane de Polignac Gallery, the book accompanying the exhibition presents twenty-three drawings by Sanyu made in Paris in the 1920s.
Two renowned authors, Marine Oussedik (French painter, sculptor, and equestrian illustrator) and Atiq Rahimi (Franco-Afghan novelist and director), were invited to explore Chinese ink, a characteristic technique of the artist.
