Who was the painter Bernard Buffet?

The artist Bernard Buffet was a leading figure in the post-war figurative art movement. He was a prolific artist, painting throughout his life with incredible energy and creating a colossal body of work. Through his work, Buffet explored all the major themes of painting—from major, well-known historical subjects to more trivial themes.
